Charity

One of the primary missions of the Temple is to extend charity to the needy and destitute in society. It is also the means by which we develop our compassion for fellow human beings and all living things. Besides the free medical services which we operate at the Temple premises and the donation of coffins to the destitute, we also disburse monetary donations annually to individuals and various charitable organizations in Singapore. The monetary donations are distributed during the Temple’s anniversary celebration dinner on the 27th day of the eighth lunar month yearly. In 2008, a total of $240,050 was donated to 17 charitable organizations and groups inclusive of hongbao to 103 NEEDY CITIZENS ON P.A.
